In the intrerest of not wasting my favorite scotch, I used some spiced rum in the glass with the ice cubes. I initially tried this with natural light from a window as a back light, but the bright back lighting really overpowered the shot and so I decided to use a second SB800 as a backlight and try to make the background as dark as I could, hence shooting at 1/250th.

The softbox and backlight SB800s were triggred with PW II’s. I angled the softbox straight down and slightly to the left to angle the light towards the bottle a bit, you can see the fall off on the label.
